Mission
The Clothes Closet opened its doors in June 2009, after First Baptist Church conducted a strategic planning initiative that included missions. The Clothes Closet is operated by church volunteers and gives men’s, women’s, and children’s clothing. It is our mission to provide clean and gently used clothing to those in need in the community. It is our intention to not only provide clothes but kindness and respect to those who come for assistance.
Operating Hours
Our doors are open the first three Tuesdays of each month from 12:30 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. The Clothes Closet is closed for Church funerals, holidays, and inclement weather.
Whom Do We Serve?
We assist anyone in need of clothing including those referred by community agencies and word of mouth. Families and individuals may receive help every six months. Please call 336-722-0595 at 10:00 a.m. on the Thursday before the Tuesday you wish to come in for assistance.
Each time a person receives help, please be prepared to register.
