“The Hanging of the Christmas Greens” Service
We will celebrate “The Hanging of the Christmas Greens” at First Baptist Church on Sunday, November 24! This special service will be held immediately following our Morning Worship Service. This is a service where we will adorn the Sanctuary with Advent and Christmas decorations, accompanied by special readings and music.

Youth Church on Sunday, November 10
Youth Church was held this week with the lesson “Hope in Jesus.” Attendees also participated in youth Christmas tabling activities in the Hedgley Fellowship Hall and collected donations for the 2024 Penny Campaign for Samaritan Ministries. Our 2024 Gold Star Members!
First Baptist Church will recognize its Gold Star Members during our Founder’s Day Service on Sunday, October 20! These are individuals who have been members of First Baptist Church for fifty years or more: Congratulations to our newest Gold Star Member! We also recognize Dr. Virginia K. Newell as our oldest Gold Star Member! Dr. Newell turned 107 years old on October 7, 2024!
Our 2024 Fall Revival Speakers!
We are pleased to announce our guest speakers for this year’s Fall Revival! Rev. Dr. William S. Epps, Senior Pastor of Second Baptist Church in Los Angeles, California, will be our speaker on Monday, October 21 at 7:00 p.m. Rev. William Steven Allen, Sr., Interim Pastor of First Baptist Church in Raleigh, North Carolina, will join us on Tuesday, October 22 and Wednesday, October 23 at 7:00 p.m. Bulletins Media
Nominations for Church Officers Are Now Open
The Nominating Committee is now accepting nominations for church officers. A list of the available positions is available below. Nomination forms may be picked up from the table in the hallway across from the Church Office. Completed forms can be submitted either to any member of the Nominating Committee or the Church Office by Sunday, October 20.
