High School Graduates
Cameron L. Adams
Walkertown High School — Walkertown, North Carolina
Cameron is an honors graduate, ranking ninth in her class. She has received the Spartan Scholarship from UNC Greensboro, the UNCG Chancellor’s Scholarship, the AKA Sorority Scholarship, and more. Cameron will attend UNC Greensboro to major in Nursing and also plans to attend the Aspire Program at Forsyth Technical Community College.
Cameron is the daughter of Cassius and Bobbietta Adams and the granddaughter of Christine L. Evans.
Bailey Buckhannon
Southwest Guilford High School — High Point, North Carolina
In addition to being a varsity cheerleader, Bailey is a member of the National Honor Society and Jack and Jill of America, Inc. where she served as vice president and past foundation chair. She will be attending North Carolina A&T State University in Greensboro, North Carolina to major in Political Science on the Pre-law track.
Bailey is the daughter of Michael and Chareba Buckhannon.
Madelyn Hanes
Mount Tabor High School — Winston-Salem, North Carolina
Ranked in the top six percent of her class, Madelyn is a member of the National Honor Society, the National English Honor Society, the National Science Honor Society. and the National Spanish Honor Society. She is also a member of the Dance Team and the Track & Field Team. Madelyn will attend the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill enrolled in their Honors College. Her major will be Exercise Sports with a minor in Communications.
Madelyn is the daughter of Ed and Traci Hanes.
Kennedy Reagan Kyser
Myers Park High School — Charlotte, North Carolina
Kennedy is a member of the National Honor Society and served as a Fellow at George Mason University in journalism. She has received the Hampton Merit and Room Scholarship and the Ivy and Pearls Debutante Cotillion Scholarship.
Kennedy will attend Hampton University in Hampton, Virginia. Her major will be Journalism with a goal of becoming an analyst for the NBA.
Kennedy is the daughter of Ramonda C. Kyser and the granddaughter of Ramsey and Ida Cathey.
Emilee McGeachy
Ronald Reagan High School — Pfafftown, North Carolina
Emilee is a member of the National Honor Society and a Crosby Scholars participant. She received the Next NC Scholarship and the Just Us Riders Scholarship. Emilee will attend UNC Charlotte in Charlotte, North Carolina to major in Psychology and possibly minoring in Cognitive Science.
Emilee is the daughter of Charisse McGeachy.
Orion Sledge-Ricks
Parkland IB Magnet High School — Winston-Salem, North Carolina
Orion graduated as salutatorian of his class and is a member of the National Honor Society, the National Society of High School Scholars. He has received a Scholar/Athlete Award and is a Crosby Scholar. Orion has received a full scholarship to attend Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois where he will major in English Literature and Professional Writing.
Orion is the son of Olivia Sledge and Herbert Ricks.
Dylan Williamson
West Forsyth High School — Clemmons, North Carolina
Dylan graduated with honors and participated as a Crosby Scholar, the WSSU MSEN Program, outdoor track, the West Forsyth High School Zephyr Newspaper staff, the Key Club, and Future Teachers of America. In the fall, he will attend High Point University in High Point, North Carolina to major in Sports Media.
Dylan is the son of Sabrina Lestuzzi-Williamson and Alfonza Williamson.
College Graduates
Shi Belcher
University of San Francisco — San Francisco, California
Shi graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. He was a Dean’s List student for four years and received both the Senior Leadership Award and the Excellence in Leadership Service Award. He will attend Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas to pursue his Masters of Science in Education for Student Affairs Administration and Higher Education as part of the Class of 2026.
Shi is the son of Nate and Chrystal Belcher and the grandson of Gloria Caldwell.
Syan Rai Moore
Virginia State University — Petersburg, Virginia
Syan graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture.
Syan is the daughter of Shonta Y. Sellars and Anthony Moore and the granddaughter of Lois H. Young and the late John Young.
Madison Murrell
Winston-Salem State University — Winston-Salem, North Carolina
Madison graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science with a minor in Sports Medicine and also graduated Cum Laude. She was active with the Singing Rams, the Burke Singers, and the WSSU Gospel Choir. In 2019, she was crowned Ms. Inspirational Voices. She also served as a Student Athletic Trainer for the WSSU Football Team. She has applied to the University of Virginia for a masters’ degree in Athletic Training in the Summer of 2025.
Madison is the daughter of Sherri Murrell.
