Guest Speakers for Rev. Doyle’s Installation Weekend

We are pleased to announce the guest speakers for installation of Rev. Samuel J. Doyle as the twelfth senior pastor of First Baptist Church.

Dr. Joel C. Gregory

Our Banquet Speaker will be Dr. Joel C. Gregory, a member of the Emeriti Faculty of the George W. Truett Seminary of Baylor University in Waco, Texas. Dr. Gregory holds the George W. Truett Endowed Chair of Preaching and Evangelism at the Seminary and is Director of Truett Seminary’s Kyle Lake Center for Effective Preaching. In 2018, he was named one of the “Twelve Most Effective Preachers in the English Language” by a poll of more than 500 professors of preaching in American seminaries and universities.

Rev. William T. Glynn

Rev. William T. Glynn, Pastor of the Mount Olive Missionary Baptist Church in Ft. Worth, Texas, will bring the message for the Installation Ceremony. Rev. Glynn has served as pastor of Mount Olive Missionary Baptist Church for twenty-five years and has served as 2nd Vice President of the Missionary Baptist General Convention of Texas, First Vice President of the National Baptist Convention of America International, Incorporated, and many other positions of service and leadership.

Rev. Dr. Eric George Vickers, Sr.

Rev. Dr. Eric George Vickers, Sr. serves as the Senior Pastor of Fairfield Baptist Church in Lithonia, Georgia, and will preach the sermon for the Installation Worship Service. Under his leadership, Fairfield supports impoverished children in Ghana, West Africa with the aim of providing medical, educational, nutritional and spiritual care. Dr. Vickers also serves as an in-demand preacher, conference speaker and lecturer.
