First Baptist Church will recognize its Gold Star Members during our Founder’s Day Service on Sunday, October 20! These are individuals who have been members of First Baptist Church for fifty years or more: Congratulations to our newest Gold Star Member! We also recognize Dr. Virginia K. Newell as our oldest Gold Star Member! Dr. Newell turned 107 years old on October 7, 2024!

We are pleased to announce our guest speakers for this year’s Fall Revival! Rev. Dr. William S. Epps, Senior Pastor of Second Baptist Church in Los Angeles, California, will be our speaker on Monday, October 21 at 7:00 p.m. Rev. William Steven Allen, Sr., Interim Pastor of First Baptist Church in Raleigh, North Carolina, will join us on Tuesday, October 22 and Wednesday, October 23 at 7:00 p.m. Bulletins Media

The Nominating Committee is now accepting nominations for church officers. A list of the available positions is available below. Nomination forms may be picked up from the table in the hallway across from the Church Office. Completed forms can be submitted either to any member of the Nominating Committee or the Church Office by Sunday, October 20.

We will be collecting funds to assist those impacted by Hurricane Helene. Funds will be collected over the next several weeks and donated through the American Red Cross in the name of First Baptist Church. Please make your check payable to First Baptist Church and write “Hurricane” in the memo line. If you’re donating through Givelify, add “Hurricane” to the message field.
